We’re absolutely delighted to share some rather special news from Fusion Valley Kitchen — two of our curries have been recognised at the Great Taste Awards.

We’re Officially Award-Winning!

This was our very first year entering, so we really didn’t know what to expect. We simply decided it was time to put the flavours we create here in our West Wales kitchen in front of the Great Taste judges.

The result rather exceeded our expectations.

Two Curries. Two Great Taste Awards.

Our Beef Rendang received a Great Taste Award.

And our Free-Range Chicken Satay Curry did too.

To say we were pleased would be something of an understatement.

And when we received the official figures from Great Taste, it really put that achievement into perspective.

15,038 Products Judged

A remarkable 15,038 products were judged in this year’s Great Taste Awards.

Of those:

4,286 received 1 star — 28.50%

1,596 received 2 stars — 10.61%

306 received 3 stars — just 2.03%

In total, only 41.15% of all the products judged received a Great Taste Award.

For our first ever entry into Great Taste, having two of our curries recognised amongst thousands of products from food producers was an incredibly proud moment for us.

What Makes It Even More Special?

Great Taste is all about the food.

For us, that matters.

Because from the very beginning, our approach at Fusion Valley Kitchen has been about creating exceptional flavour without taking shortcuts.

We cook in small batches. We create individual spice blends for our dishes. We make our pastes fresh. We don’t rely on a generic base curry sauce, and we don’t use artificial flavourings or unnecessary additives.

Instead, we start with great ingredients and give them the time they need to develop into something special.

And now two of those dishes have the Great Taste recognition to prove it.

Beef Rendang

Rich, deep and intensely aromatic, our Beef Rendang is slowly cooked to allow the spices and flavours to develop into the wonderfully complex curry we were aiming for from the very beginning.

Free-Range Chicken Satay Curry

Our Free-Range Chicken Satay Curry combines tender chicken with the rich, warming flavour of satay, carefully balanced spices and a gentle touch of chilli.

And both made right here in our small kitchen in West Wales.
